Offset Dot Fretboard inlays?

I absolutely love the look of a 4mm dot along the top edge of the fretboard, like this:

But also in other material choices.
To me, it looks just that little bit more custom.

Sorry if this has already been brought up, but I couldn't find anything.

that looks beautiful! I've also seen Schecter U.S.A. Custom Shop guitars with maple boards and black offset dots... Looks amazing. :laughing7:

As the years pass, I feel I'm not so much into fret markers anymore. I have quite a few Warmoth necks without makers which I like playing more than others. But I do also have several Jackson's that have the markers in that position, they've been doing this for years...

I think that would be a great option, and I'd surely go for it if it were available. Although I don't know what kind of investment is involved, I'm pretty sure Warmoth wouldn't lose money on this one.
