probably need an update to java rather than turning it off. A lot of stuff on the net uses java and if you aint updated you can get crashes and stuff.  :cool01:

I agree with the Rat.  It's also missing the BBE Green Screamer, a subtle OD.

Last couple of years I've been using a Danelectro Blue Paisley.  Ill have to try out a Rat, sounds interesting.  I'm looking for something a little more bright and transparent for Tele/strat bluz tones.

Isn't the Rat considered more of a distortion pedal? I used to have one, but I didn't really need it. I don't remember what it was like.

To me, the rat is more of a distortion pedal.  If you want to add a sheen to your sound with subtle tube break up, then I highly recommend the Green Screamer.  The GS is a tube screamer clone.

The thing I like about the Rat is that it has quite a range.  Subtle drive to all out chaos.  It is probably considered by most to be a distortion pedal though.

The best thing of course is to have one of each, a BBE GS and a Rat.
