We are now announcing the October 2021 Guitar of the Month contest!  October's contest will be "Warmoth/professionally finished" and requires at least a Warmoth neck or body to qualify.

Please read the GOM rules, which have been refined, with some slight changes, and are posted in a sticky in this forum area.

Submissions must be sent to uwfgom@gmail.com, and contain two images no greater than 1024x768, along with your description and details of the instrument.  Send your submission in plain text email.  Your photos must be attachments to the email.  Your UnOfficialWarmoth Forum user name must be included in the body of the email.

In turn, your images will added to this message, which is October's submission thread.

Submissions will be accepted until exactly 7 days from the date and time of this post, so get your cameras clicking!

As usual, discussion about the submissions can take place below.

Please do not post additional photos in any replies to this thread.  Links to other UW threads or external sites are fine.

Please try to stick to the entry requirements:
Two 1024x768 pixel images maximum as attachments please, not embedded in the email or linked to external sites.

An image for the purposes of this contest is a single photograph, not a multiple image/collage.

Include your UnOfficialWarmoth Forum user name.

Warmoth or other professionally finished instruments only this month.

Sorry, but entries that do not meet these requirements may not be included in the contest. If you're having technical difficulties, get in touch!  (But only about contest entries please!)

Good luck, and may the best guitar/bass win!

HA!
My wife would like it done so I can clear the dining table from the soldering station, parts, tools etc.  I was suppose to have this done in May LOL

As you work for the W Wolfie, you’ll get this.  It’s a VIP pre double-lam top with the dished control holes.

Hah - the backorder stuff is awesome.
Wife: Fedex is here What's you get THIS TIME?!
Me: Oh that's something I ordered 3 months ago and the order got split up because this part was backordered.

Welcome Frankie Chestnuts, Bobblybook and Stratamania to the contest! Good luck all!

Nice selection!

Is it just me or could the TuxedoZaku use a little more pizazz?

The hard thing about sparkly finishes like that is actually capturing the sparkles in a photo! The chrome-dome pickups are well suited to the finish though, there are so many different silver "colours" (nickel, SS, chrome, other alloys..) it can sometimes be hard to get a coherent match.

Absolutely! The control plate was from Faction and they only offer stainless steel. I had it chrome plated to match the tremolo and pickups.

Oh , I thought the photo did a good job. I am sure it looks even more sparkly in person. I can only imagine that thing on stage with lights, etc. My comment was a little facitious--I can't think of anything that could be don't to it that doesn't have pizazz. I love it, it is over-the-top.

Late to the party again, but throwing my hat in anyways (for previous posts)...Cause I like all of these!  :icon_thumright:
er...maybe not so much the cookkoo goofy strat...but then again...if they threw in the Hendrix pickups, that might make tie it all together...
