Nut width

I've been using 1.75 nut size necks but think I want to change to 1 11/16. I have a Les Paul Standard 50s and the neck and string spacing is just right! So I just ordered a neck from Musikraft with these Less Paul specs. I have 2 other guitars with one and three quarters nut width. If I order a couple of 1 3/4 nut blanks and install on these guitars and use the 1 11/16th spacing when I cut the slots or just order that size nut and install it with maybe a touch of space on both sides of the nut due to the wider neck I wonder if that might work? Anyone tried that? Seems like I can move faster on the 1 11/16ths string spacing than the 1 3/4ths. I know, 1 3/4ths isn't standard but I crossed over from acoustic and play fingerstyle so I thought the 1 3/4 would be the bomb but now I'm thinking slightly narrower. That shouldn't leave too much space on either side of the fretboard should it?

The ESP George Lynch signature models have a 1-3/4" neck with a 1-11/16" nut which provides more room at the edges for the high & low E strings. I think it's a cool idea, but since my hands are small, I prefer 1-5/8" or 1.65" widths.
'Might be perfect for you.

I think I'll change the nut on those other 2. I think that might be just what the doctor ordered! 🤗 Do you know where might be the best place to get that?
