Nut size help!

I ordered a Warmoth style neck with an 1 & 11/16 nut with and got a graphtech strat nut from StewMac, and to my surprise it looks like a gibson style nut slot in the neck. So i seek advice whether there is a gibson style nut that is 1 & 11/16 or if i should just get a blank and cut/sand it to the right size?

A warmoth headstock? That will take the standard gibson nut, you can order them from stew mac too. I think they sell slotted graphtech ones or bone ones that will need slotting.

Most nuts still need some sanding to get them right, they have to make them on the wide side to account for the slight differences in the necks. It's easy, you just get hyper for a little bit on a metal file or a sheet of 150-grit.
