I was going to do a Regal to match the bocote Strat I did but realized there was no way the bocote LP pickguard I bought was going to fit.  But, you may want to try different pickup rings,  it's surprising how much of a size variation there are from various sources.  A cream ring may not look all that bad either.

it not help much with a bit smaller mount .

look OK for me at wood mount  , may be made a ring myself later .

You made me check my WLP, the "inspiration" for the Regal.

That sucks, I'd say they need to adjust their cad program... :dontknow:
Agree with Doug. No one else assembled a Regal before you?

Has anyone been able to find a fix for this issue?  Just wondering.....

I saw a pic of one Regal that had a TV Jones pickup in the neck, using a pretty standard cream pickup ring and there seemed to be just enough room as to not cover the binding.

Another option is to go with a wood mount that matches the wood on the top.  Then stain (or whatever finish is used) to match it to the top.  As long as it doesnt cover the binding, you'll almost never see it.

Got sometimes and learned new software, This my design my own PU ring for this, just a tryout run, need more modifications on bottom curves.

Pretty cool Hendrix...are they 3D printed?

Yes, but details 3Dpaint like this is not cheap, so when I finished the final design, if want to make more for others, may be made mould to reproduce it.

Small part 3d printers can be had pretty cheap these days. I think the one called "The Cube" is under a $1000...

that are FDM-style 3D printers use the filament, not so detail, need a lot sanding after printing .

this is using Liquid Crystal +  laser, Stereolithography style 3D printers
