She's ready to go home!

The neck still has a ways to go so I don't see any completed shots in the near future.

Sweet mother!  That's an LP if ever I saw one.  Congrats Eric!  :occasion14:

Did you decide on pups yet?

Holy Mother of Pearl and Metalflake, that's the most beautiful LP body I've ever seen! I can't wait to see her done! :blob7:

That's so shinny, you could blind the sun... :icon_thumright:

And the color with the creme binding reminds me of a Rootbeer Float...

That's a stunning piece, Mr. Wyliee! I'm envious! The wait to completion must be frustrating. Hopefully, you're tempering that frustration with drugs, alcohol and meaningless sex. In moderation, of course.

Wowza  :o  Lovely

A Warmoth finish craps all over a Gibbo finish, any day .....  Just saying !!

A Warmoth finish, their wood choices, their consistency, their quality, their customer service... it's no wonder Gibson threatened to sue them for making their own product: the competition was insurmountable. The best they could hope for would be to equal it, but at their prices that still wouldn't fly. Can you imagine a Gibson Les Paul with Warmoth's quality? They'd want to charge $18,429 for it and only give you a gig bag to put it in.

That's utterly ridiculous.

This whole thing is getting out of hand. Gibson was DEFENDING THEIR PATENTS. They were not bullying Warmoth into unfair submission. And this whole "Well-uh, Warmoth is best, uhhh" :cool01: thing is STUPID. A guitar is a TOOL. Just that. I've played many Gibsons that I loved and were reasonably priced. Hell, I played a $1000 midtown P90 recently and that was a good guitar. Yep, I said it. And another thing - It was worth $1000.

Sure the Big turtle can give you the parts to make a tasty sounding dohickey thingamabomber; but there's no guarantee that it will turn out good, and the risk is HUGE.If you screw it up, that's it.

:sign13: So for the MILLIONS of guitarists who can't even change their own strings!?, perhaps a Gibson is good enough. A guitar is a tool, and it's worth NOTHING if you don't do anything with it. People spend TOO MUCH time FRETTING :laughing7: over whether they have the right strings or if their frigging tuners are ruining their TONE VIBE THINGS. If you don't like the tone you have, Look to yourself. I could have all of Dave frickin' Wronski's gear, I still won't sound like him.  :sad1:

You all talk about how much you hate Gibson, how Gibson sucks, their product sucks, their finishing sucks, their qc sucks, and then you go and make a bunch of Gibson COPIES. To top it all off, you whine and complain about how Gibsons a big bad bully and how unfair it is that they DEFENDED THEIR PATENTS. If you don't defend them, you lose them, simple as that.

Getting back on track......

Yeah, it totally reminds me of a rootbeer float!

I need to decide on a name for the build.... hardware will be chrome and the neck is mahogany/rosewood with ivroid binding and will be finished in trans brown to match the back.  Got any suggestions?
