No jack wiring tunnels in showcase body?

I've just noticed in the showcase strat body I ordered, that there are no holes drilled for wires to the output jack, or for the earth wire to the trem cavity.  Also no holes for the screws to anchor the trem claw.  I can do these myself, of course, but I'm wondering if this is normal for a Warmoth body.  Can't find info on the Warmoth site to clarify.  Thanks in advance for any thoughts

:sad:  Bummer ....... No that's NOT normal.

They should all be done.
(sometimes the finish might cover them up)
But the trem ones you should be able to see, they are decent size holes.

Could send back, or do yourself if that's no drama to you.
I'd still let them know for sure anyway thou.

Thanks Updown.  That's what I was thinking.  I'm in Australia, so I can't really be bothered sending it back etc.  I'll drill the holes myself.  But I definitely will let Warmoth know that I'm somewhat pissed off having to do stuff that I could very well stuff up.  It's going to be a hassle getting those holes drilled, but better than waiting for weeks.  Besides, I've already started the finishing process.

I agree.  I've bought a longish drill bit for the wiring holes.  BTW....do you know where the earth wire hole on a strat should be drilled?

2 1/2'' from the (neck end) of trem cavity.
Along the inside edge, in the trem cavity, into the control cavity.

The trem screws  (go in at an slight angle) are ...... 3/8th from the side walls or 11mm
(can use the trem crawl holes for that measurement)

and about 11mm - 12mm from bottom of trem cavity.

I'm guessing  :dontknow:  that this is a Top routed strat.
He is just missing some drill holes from trem and from control cavity to the top rout output jack.

If it was a rear rout, there would be no problem with the output jack wires  :icon_biggrin:

Thanks for the pics Updown.  That'll make my drilling decisions much easier :toothy10:.  Looks like I'll need a long bit to make the trem claw screws angled as low as possible.  Edit....just drilled jack and earth holes.  The 2 1/2" measurement was useful in getting the earth hole right.  My "real" strat is a hardtail so all this is new to me.
