Two days ago.
I rarely see these used. I had no choice, but to buy it.
It plays and sounds awesome. There are two downsides though; the case is unreasonably large and it won't fit into any other case. It also won't fit on most guitar stands.

I also have had a recent interest in Firebirds.

I like the studio ones. For some reason the raised center of the classic ones was a feature I never cared for.

Man that’s a good looking guitar. I am totally enamored of the Firebird, I think they are one of the sexiest guitars in existence. Unfortunately the ergonomics don’t suit me at all, I find them uncomfortable. One of life’s little ironies.... Congrats on the new guitar, she’s a beaut!

Check out MONO gig bags. They make seriously reinforced gig bags for guitars and basses. I use one of their bass bags for my firebird (And so does Doug Kauer, a boutique builder who trusts his Banshee model, firebird-style guitars to be 'cased' in them).  :icon_thumright:
