For me, at the most basic level, it started when I was really young, and my family would camp a lot, and my father would teach me survival skills, so i got my first Buck. But more recently, my job for 7 years was working in a warehouse, loading delivery trucks full of bundles of phone books, and I'd have to cut through very thick shrink wrap. Utility blades would quiver in the face of the heavy use I'd put them through.. so I started buying knives, I wanted to have variety, to keep things interesting. I also just love the craftsmanship behind some knives. I've always wanted to design my own.
