Anybody knows if it's possible to buy a Nighthawk hardtail?
My friend is going to use some scrap guitar parts to make a hardtail guitar. It has a tremolo rout, but a Nighthawk hardtail would have the screws around the hole so it would actually work well.
Or if there is any other flat hardtail that could fit around the trem hole.
It's not a fancy project so no need to fill the hole or something like that, just a fun scrap guitar build.

That bridge used to be available here;

But they're not there right now. ???
Can't tell you much more than that.
Sorry.
Good Luck.

Any interest in a used nighthawk body w/parts no neck?

He's on a tight budget and has everything except a bridge so buying a body is out of question... Sorry! But thanks a lot anyway!

I should note that I think that site was still going in late Jan. or early Feb. so they might be coming back.
It could be worth waiting, as their bridge was probably from the 1st Epi run of the late 90s. Not as nice as the Gib NH/BH bridge but still better than what's on the current EPI RI from China.

Budget guitars are the best guitars! If it's got springs in the trem cavity then you should just add a couple more and tighten down the spring tension. That'll keep it locked in place, much like a hardtail. If not then I'm not sure... I don't know what kind of trem we're talking about here. They're not all easily interchangeable (as you know)

Without measuring, there's no guarantee the mounting holes of the hardtail will straddle the trems route.  Also, without mounting the strings through the body (just on the underside of the bridge), the winding knots on the ball end will fall right on the saddles.

He's NOT interested in doing that, that's why I asked for a hardtail that would fit over the hole and nothing else.

There's no guessing here, he HAS a Nighthawk at home, so we measured and it will work out.

He will drill some holes in an angle through the body in so the strings will not sit right under bridge.
