Newb Question: Will this knob fit with this potentiometer...?

Super-newb question, I know. But i know there are different fits for these, slide, screw in post, etc. Just don't wanna buy the wrong things.  :icon_scratch:

Yes you can make that work, but that knob is really for a solid shaft pot.

I'd get a solid shaft pot instead.

Hmmm...how would I go about making it work if i already had the pot ordered? Or maybe since they're cheap i'll just buy a solid shaft and have one of each?

Just make sure the set screw lines up with the split in the split shaft. This way it will push against the sides of each shaft otherwise you run the risk of breaking one of the sides. Solid shaft pots will limit your choice of knobs while with splits you both styles.

I've ordered different knobs from Q-parts before, and they came with a little copper sleeve that inserts when using split shaft pots and removes if using solid shaft pots.

Hmm - that's cool.  Sounds like you're good to go.  May want to confirm with them that your knobs will have those gizmos.
