New warmoth strat wiring - buzzing!

I assembled the pickguard for my new strat last night with a Dimarzio Area 67 in the neck, 61 in the middle, and VV Blues in the bridge position.  Everything seems to work fine, but there is a buzz (only) when I touch the polepieces of the Area 67 and 61, but NOT on the Blues.  Looking into this, I noticed the Blues has a metal ground wire and the other two don't - could this be the reason?  Is there a reason why the Areas buzz when touched and the Blues doesn't?  I did a google search and read that this was normal on older Fralins.  It shouldn't affect anything too much, but if there is a fix than I would like to apply it before I finish assembling the guitar.  The buzz is not really bad, but it's there and if I can remove it I would like to.  It's NOT like touching guitar cord tip or anything like that.

I ended up switching the + and - on them just because it was more convenient (a bought a used '61 that had a shorter - wire than +).  This has never been an issue in the past (I have used the Area seried before).  I can't imagine this is the problem, but I have been wrong before.

I checked all my connections and everything seems in order (I have been wiring guitars for years, so it shouldn't be a rookie mistake) and grounded properly.

Thanks for any input!

:icon_scratch: wish i had experience with those pups, i dont know it they ground the poles, many singles don't. it they are grounded you may have them backwards. if they are not supposed to get grounded then this might be normal depending on how bad it gets. if they were really old or ground on enough to get them hot the coil wire could come into contact with the poles making them hot and causing this type of thing but i seriously doubt that is what happened.
