New Warmoth neck day! (and body from Ebay)

Both arrived today

Warmoth Padauk Tele neck, 10-16 compound radius, SS6105 frets, showcase neck.  Only took a week to show up!!!
Ebay Padauk/Limba body.  I weighed the body at about 6.5 pounds  :help:

The neck is more orangish and the body is more maroon.  Still beautiful though.

"That stripe thing" is actually separate pieces of wood sandwiched and glued together to form one body, so you wont be able to achieve it as your body is already made.
You might be able to do something with stains or lacquer tints if you intend to finish it that way.

Very classy, body pieces were most likely cut from the heart of the tree. the heartwood of padauk tends to be darker reddish purples... Unlike Korina which is just the opposite :icon_thumright:

Thanks for the kind words guys.  This one is going to take a while to finish.  I've never put a finish on a guitar before.  I'm practicing on my Ibanez first.  I'm stripping the paint to the mahogany, the putting tru oil on it.  After I get the hang of that, then I will finish the body of the Padauk tele.  It's going to get some Bare Knuckle Piledrivers (~$230 :sad and this strap:
