As far as I know they are available with Scallops, just like other side dot options. However, I'm guessing this has not yet been tested IRL.

The Luminlay side dots are about the same size as the oversized Moon Glow ones, so no, I don't believe they can be done on scalloped necks. There's just not enough room.

I ordered a scalloped neck last week....it would be awesome to have side dots that were luminlay. I am sure it hasn't been built yet, but should I ask to see if it is possible?

It does say on the website:

• Inlay on scalloped necks is black or cream dots only. We can not combine scalloping with a custom inlay.

I am assuming that glowy side dots are a no-no...they aren't in the builder.

That looked good with maple …mmmmh … at first I thought it would work only with a dark fretboard but the black rings make it. Good r and d work.

Yes, with scallop necks and the bigger side dots we run the risk of milling into the side dot.

The black luminlay looks so COOL on the maple fretboard and the white version is really nice too. I like them even though I don’t play in dark venues!

I have factory Illuminays on a couple guitars. They are nice.
