Dang, now that Aaron gave them his blessing I guess I'll have to try them ! I think I'll get a set for the Surf Green Strat I just finished, not real happy with the Texas Specials.

@Spud, have you ever tried their Microcoil sets for comparison ?

Can’t speak to the Strat stuff because Strats make me sad, but the Microcoil Tele pickups are *the* Tele pickups… I’ve tried most of the internets favorites (Don Mare, FCS Nocasters, Duncan, Fralin, DiMarzio). They have a hi-fi clarity and fullness without being sterile.

If it makes you feel any better, I did a "career day" thing at my grandson's grade school two days ago, and made one of the children cry.

He wanted to do "duck" on that verse of Old MacDonald's Farm, but I called on the person who wanted to do "horse", and it was just too much for him.

I can be brutally unfair sometimes.

No sir, I have not. I do have a "set" or I am gonna make it one of two 290 sl's and one 298SL alnico 8 bridge on the way. The 280's are excellent, both Tele, and Strat.

Still, seems a bit ambiguous, his wife is yelling at him "hey, let's go!" don't complain/whine (put on a show) and go get the meat for dinner. Fairly certain.

Good video. I had some L200S in the Strat in my profile pic back in the day but went back to traditional SC (and a Strat sized P90). Something about the L200S was just missing.
