I look forward to hearing Aarons experience with the 500k control pots and whether it can breath some life into the Area T pickups.
I like Rick’s suggestion of the DP240 neck pickup. When using 500k controls, it would be interesting in combination with the “Hot” Area T bridge p/u. However it’s likely to be more of a blues rock guitar sound than a vintage Tele.
I've had good luck, with 615. Like the 240, it's really close to a tele sound, but with more girth and force. I perceive the sparkle, but also a heaviness, that's pleasant, maybe it's a hotness ... hard to describe sound ...
I can't remember what pots I used with the 615. I've tested the the 240 and they'll go with both 250 and 500 pots.

The L48TL is the Tele bridge iteration of the L45, Bill's twin blade masterpiece, which adapts his original twin blade for his last and proudest achievement in noisefree design. The pickup uses stainless steel blades to guide a tightly focused but uniform magnetic window in a perfectly...
my secret weapon is areas or HS dimarzio's run in single coil mode. MUCH better than hum cancelling mode (brighter and louder) and still lower noise than a standard single coil
