New replacement neck...

First I'm new on this forum, so hello all, and thank you for welcoming me !

I'm going to order a new neck from Warmoth, for an old fender mex strat alder body (1996)... Previously the guitar has a one piece maple neck on it ; but i brake the head stock when I jump in my bedroom  :headbang1:

It's not my main guitar but a backup one, but I love it because it's my first guitar... I play blues and 70' Rock with her.

So...

I want a very slightly warm and woody tone ; more than a full maple neck.

I hesitate between the classic maple/rosewood, maple/wenge, or full wenge neck.

Any advices ?

I replaced my 1994 Fender Mex strat alder body that had a one piece maple neck with a mahogany/ebony neck (and stainless steel frets) and I think it's fantastic.

Thanks, but I'm afraid of a mahogany shaft, maybe it's too warm... I want just a little less pop of maple fingerboard... :icon_scratch:

So... After some research, I choose a Canary neck with ebony fingerboard, we will see  :icon_scratch:

Great choice.  Next step:  If you haven't already done so, ask them to put stainless frets on it, and omit the inlays.  Sexxy slick!

Ebony over Canary w/ SS frets? You are going to be one happy camper! That's gonna be a constant source of satisfaction for you and the envy of all your friends.

Send it to me to finish the frets and neck meat, and you'll be even happier still.

That's a beautiful piece!

I've shipped overseas a number of times, so don't let that stop you.
