Thanks for the tips, guys. I may even step out and get the TC Electronic tuner. I've had my eye on it since it came out but set it aside because my tuner works just fine. A nicely lit one would be nice on stage though. Gotta admit that.

I understand the urge. That tuner may well satisfy it. It's certainly a nice device. I bought a Boss TU-2 which came out around the same time that one did, and sorta wish I'd waited the two weeks it took for the TC unit to come out. Nothing wrong with the Boss, though. Modern tuners are a joy. Fast, intelligent, selective and accurate, without all the hunting older units did. Makes tuning a snap.

I've used the effects loop on my Mesa Stiletto Ace for years to run my MXR phase 90 (EVH model), chorus and, now, my tc electronic Flashback delay through it when I'm using that amp.  I run those pedals on a separate Pedaltrain nano board from my compressor, OD and distortion that I run in front of the amp.  I like the blend I get doing it this way, it sounds more polished.  I had my new amp built with a loop for this reason, too.  No squealing issues.
