If I could only have gotten away with as little as a disapproving shake of the head from Wife 1.0 . . .  And I wasn't even WRONG most of the time!

Oh, I know that rule, and I live by it.  But eventually, as the saying goes, you learn to stop wrasslin' the pig - all you get is filthy, and the pig enjoys it.  Hence Wife 2.0, whose susceptibility to reason and kindness are orders of magnitude higher than they were with the  beta release.
