I just got a Starstruck pickup from Peter Naglitsch (www.peternaglitschluthier.com) and it worked out just like I wanted it to; the Dimarzio was a bit too clunky/harsch, so I basically asked for a smoother sounding pickup. Sure, I could probably have found any smoother ones by Dimarzio or whatever but I just find it fun to go custom, just like with Warmoth parts, you decide what you want.
So, the difference is small, but the new pickup IS a little smoother and also lower output, so it basically sounds a lot cleaner. I'm not a big fan of low output pickups because I play a lot of legato, but what the hell. I like fast and heavy picking too, I'm just not very good at it, hahahah! :icon_biggrin: but now I have a reason to really learn the picking techniques properly.

Thumbs up to Peters pickups! :icon_thumright:
