My chance to show off share:

Bought the top in November and finally the cabs last weekend, all used.
A Markbass Little Mark II + 2x Aguilar GS112
A HUGE upgrade from a 1x10'' 80W SWR combo. I put it through its paces at yesterday's rehearsal and boy does it sound deep and tight. I just love the 12'' speakers.

I hope it has cured my amp GAS for the next 18 years or so. Well, it will have for a good while, at least.

The neck is Warmoth by the way. ;)

Actually, unless you have us over for a beer and invite us to take your sweet bass and new amp for a test drive, it's actually showing off.  You were right before you struck it out.  :laughing7:

Congratulations anyway - that MarkBass gear is pretty dang nifty.

Markbass and 12s?  Pure awesome.  If my pre-Fender SWR bass 350 ever dies, I'm instantly replacing it with a Markbass head.  Out of all my cabs, I find myself using the 2x12 Bag End the most.  Pure win.

That's almost the problem isn't it? I've been "stuck" with a SWR SM500 for years now, it sounds great, enough headroom to flense elephants, and it won't die. I don't need another amp for anything.... :sad1:

Yeah, I keep trying to justify the weight as an issue, and my wife makes fun of me.

Now that would be a good point because the Markbass weighs barely anything. I manage to haul the whole rig + bass around in one go. Not ideal though because at 42lbs the 12s aren't the lightest cabs out there but it can be done. And that was the main reason why I chose two smaller cabs instead of one big cab. I'm a big guy but I just loathe heavy equipment. 42lbs is a breeze when moving them one by one.
