Difference in tone of 7/8 scale neck and gibson scale and fender scale. We heard the difference between gibson and fender, but the 7/8 neck is 25.5 tension with gibson scale. I understand there would be no way to compare same for same.

Given that a 7/8 body and neck is a 24 3/4" "Gibson" scale it will have the same tension as that for any given string gauge. It simply cannot have a tension of a different scale length.
