Need to fill the holes that were drilled for a 6 hole Tremolo.
What do I ?
I am going to be putting  Hipshot Tremolo, and I am going to be doing a sunbursts paint job.

Cool Beans

Sure about the bridge drilling though?  :icon_scratch:

Well the hotshot tem is really nice. And i would really like to use it.

I'm pretty sure that Home Depot or any hardware store sells Poplar Dowels in 1/8" diameter. Close enough to alder, and that trem is going to cover it anyway.

Cool thanks.

Dowel it, and redrill it.  The hipshot will probably cover it.... unless you cut little disks from a cavity and insert them into the top 1/16th inch or so of the patch.  I wouldn't bother, since it wont be easily seen.

Its sound like you have done this all ready. Do you have a hipshot?

RockStarNick and CB are both correct, Home Depot sells poplar dowels and a couple other varieties to plug with...And don't forget the glue..... :laughing7:

Changing from one type of trem unit to another can sometimes result in having to redrill somewhere or plugging some left over hole. Doesn't have to be a Hipshot to have this thing happen.

Also happens with stud holes for Tune o matic bridges and tailpieces for LP bodies - there's a 1001 variations of that type of bridge and tailpiece and you have to be careful in getting the stud holes matching or end up doing this task on the LP body.

Got a photo of the Hipshot?
