need some dimensions

Work got too busy to call, so I hope someone here can assist.

On the VIP body, does anyone have the dimensions for the control route. If you also have placement locations for both the PRS style and Strat style control layout, that would be good.

What dimensions are you specifically looking for? Not like it's LxWxH....  If you look through the Gallery pages on this and the Warmoth.com site you should get a feel for the control knob placement. Note that the "standard" VIP control placement is McCarty like and the switch hole is drilled 1/2 inch; if you want to place a PRS style rotary switch you'll need to spec that hole 3/8 inch for most rotary switches.

I was kinda hoping that someone might have one that they could trace out and scan.

Need to see about the PRS version controls with the addition of the strat slot for a 5 way blade switch.
In looking at the pics on the web, you can see the recess for the blade switch in the PRS style photo. Just need an idea on how close that would be to the pot with a speed knob on it.

Would not be using rotary switch, but instead a 3 way for pup selection.
The 5 way is to control various coil splitting functions (as I do not tend to like push/pull pots). Actually I just need 4 choices on that switch. Not sure how I will use the 5th position, - maybe just a kill position.

5-way switch has to be located in a certain position in the cavity, as there is a relief for it CNC'ed out of the control cavity by default, whther it's used or not. Have a VIP body in the stack stash bodies; if you ordered the "standard" 3 hole VIP control routing - V-T-3way PLUS a 5-way, the center of the V control hole is about 1.5 inches from the center of the 5-way relief, so Gibson style speed knob would be fine,

you have one that you looked at (and yes the reielf isthere, whether used or not) and there IS enough clearance between the V (with speed knob) and the 5 way

Thanks, but that link brings up a Q as that is the Strat layout, not the PRS with the addition of the strat 5 way switch. Best I can see, it looks like the PRS V is in a different place than the Strat V.
