Need help with wiring my Firebird

I'm putting together a Firebird from parts, and need some help with wiring it up. To be honest, I don't know what the hell I'm doing when it comes to wiring a guitar. I've read a few of the guides listed, but I didn't necessarily see what I needed. Here's what I want to do:

1 Lollar Firebird (neck)
1 Lollar Firebird (bridge).

Knobs/switches:
Vol 1
Vol 2
Tone 1
Tone 2
3-way pickup selector

I want the following wiring options:
3-way switch so I can go H-x, H-H, and x-H (neck-bucker, bucker-bucker, bridge-bucker)
Coil tapping

So basically, I want to be able to run the 2 buckers simultaneously, but I'd also like to be able to coil-tap them. Surely someone has an existing wiring diagram for this setup?

Start with standard LP wiring.

I'm not sure what you're talking about with the extra switches, but these are the options you get for standard four-conductor humbuckers.

Tapping is very uncommon, especially with humbuckers. You will usually only see taps on custom single coils.

either you'll need extra switches, or a couple push/pull pots.
I think this is what you're after (mind you the colours will be different from Seymour Duncan than they are from Lollar)

(i think it's series/parallel, not coil tapping - i could be wrong)

I'm a bit confused by both of you guys' posts.

1. line6man - coil splitting/tapping is UNCOMMON in buckers? Isn't that the only thing they apply to in the first place? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that the entire point of coil taps/splits is to get single coil sounds from buckers. How do you coil-tap a single coil? By my understanding, that'd be trying to get single coil sounds from.....a single coil.

2. AutoBat - extra switches? That diagram you just referred me to looks EXACTLY like what I want. I think I had the push/pull for tone confused with the volume knobs instead.

Series/south coil for both switches.
Personally, I would switch the wiring around to do inner or outer coils.

That's coil splitting, which is switching to one coil of a two coil pickup. Though technically incorrect, the term is sometimes used in reference to series/parallel switching of two coils, as well.

Tapping is done by running a tap in a coil winding when the pickup is wound, to select a lower impedance portion of one coil. You can tap both coils of a humbucker, too, but I've never seen it done.
