Neck Too Wide

Hello one and all! Just joined the forum, can't wait to become more active on here \m/

Anyways, my body came in from Warmoth a few days ago, and today I went to check the fit with the neck only to find that the heel doesn't fit in the pocket. I was doing it the proper way, pushing down into the pocket, but it won't go in, and I don't want to crack anything. Should I sand the neck or the pocket? Is there a specific grit I should use for this?

This is the neck I'm using: https://shop.fender.com/en-US/parts/electric-guitar-parts/necks/replacement-necks/roasted-maple-stratocaster-neck-22-jumbo-frets-12-pau-ferro-flat-oval-shape/0990403920.html

This is my first build, and I want to make sure I'm doing it all correctly.

can you email Fender to get the heel dimensions? warmoth has thiers listed on thier site. Just to make sure it's even compatible before you start sanding things down.

Edit, actually found the specs on the stewmac website and they are listed as compatible
Fits neck pockets: 3" x 2-3/16" x 5/8"

Lol I guess this shows how new I am at this, but it actually did fit when I put a little pressure on it. Nice snug fit, and not too tight either.

I'll post some in the next few days in Just Out of the Box! I'm working and moving until Thursday, I should have some time to do that then \m/
