hi there i am in progress of doing my first Warmoth build, i have ordered a walnut body but i am having trouble deciding what neck to pair it with, i originally thought to get a roasted flame maple neck & fretboard but keep flipping whether i should choose a different material for the fretboard, any suggestions would help. if this helps i have gold and black hardware (gold tremolo & gold tuners)

cheers

Welcome to the forum.

Pau Ferro is a great choice, and ebony of any flavor also.

I can imagine a bloodwood shaft ebony fret board on a walnut body.

I have always liked the look of a maple neck on a walnut body.  A quick look at Rickenbacker’s site will offer what that looks like.

thanks all for suggestions ill just keep with my original plan and go with a roasted flame maple neck :D

I think that was a good plan. Some contrast between the neck/body will look good. Plus, Roasted Maple is such a nice wood.

Yeah, maple and walnut go well together in any field.  Maybe I'll do an all Amurican Poplar/Walnut/Maple guitar some day.

Plus 1 for the roasted maple/walnut. Walnut is a beautiful wood and like Kevin pointed out, the roasted maple is a nice contrast for it.
