Neck Profiles

1) Shipping cost would probably kill it. At least for those not in mainland US.

2) Neck thickness is just one thing that's hard to get across over the web. How would you sample the feel of a raw Wenge neck vs Gloss finished Maple, or the difference in weight between solid and hollow, or...

3) But if they offered inexpensive plastic bodies as well, people could build their own Guitar Hero axes...

The options appear to be KISS, Ozzy, Skynyrd, and Pantera.  There's also an ugly relic bullseye and something that looks like lo-mein.

Where's the "SHOOT ME NOW" emoticon??

WOW that's lame!!! Actually I've got a friend who really can't understand why I have no interest in "guitar hero"..........

I'm actually waiting for the first Guitar Hero controller to be built from Warmoth parts to be posted here.

Warmoth would save us from that experience if they introduced a line of cheap plastic parts.
Somehow, for me a Guitar Hero controller deserves to be plastic.

back to the OP's topic.

you cant really tell how the neck is gonna feel till it's on the body and strung up and playable.

 Are you freakin serious?????  Is Peavy hurting that bad that they resort to this?  Wow, i'm a little disturbed about this.  I bought Guitar Hero for my kid he's 10 and has no interest in playing a 'real' guitar, he doesn't have the patience to learn to play the real insturment, but you should see him shred on that little plastic LP.  He can get 100% on freakin HARD, while me the guitar player cant get 80% on easy.  Go figure.  I really didn't want to get it for him, but he really really wanted it for Chrismas last year.  I had to drive half way across the state to get it for his Wii.  The things we parents do for our kids. But wow, I know one company who won't be getting any of theklanch's hard earned money.  I never had any peavy stuff to begin with, and seeing that seals the deal.

What is next?  DW drums doing a rock band kit?  How about Marshall or Vox making fake amps?

Curious if Warmoth gets inquiries about Guitar Hero controllers and what they say..............

This year my boy wanted this super duper Nerf machine gun.  He doesn't really ever ask us for toys so when he does I try to get them for him.  Had to look around for it a little bit, and I got it for him the other day, he's gonna be stoked.  I just hope that Smith & Wesson doesn't start making foam dart guns, but after seeing this Peavy bullsh*t, I guess they just might...
