neck fitting problem

Just got my first warmoth strat body today and am my american standard fender neck will not fit at all.  The neck appears to be to big.  I pulled the neck off of my other american standard and the same thing. This is my first time ordering.  i cracked my old american standard body and bought this as a replacement.  The warmoth body is beautiful!  Just curious if this is something that is common and should have it taken to a repair man to sand it down a bit.  Anyone have any advice.  i would hate to have to send it back.  I also don't want to void any warranty with sanding the body down.  Thanks

yeh dropping it in from the top.

The body route needs to be enlarged do not sand the neck.  Check with a good local set-up pro and they will take care of it for you.

thanks for the help guys.  i'm gonna take it in tommorow. Was excited to get it going tonight but it will be worth the wait.

hope you get it sorted out! my first warmoth strat had a pretty tight neck pocket on it. i did a little fine sanding on the inside of the neck pocket and got the neck to drop right in.

don't forget to post pictures when you get it assembled!
