Neck finish for exotic woods

I've read on the warmoth site that they apply some sort of oil based seal on all their necks and my question is whether I need some additional coating or sealing to protect my pau ferro & ebony neck from wear or not?

As stated on Warmoth's site, these two woods do not require a hard finish, so you do not need to add anything to protect them.

Some like to polish their exotic necks as shown in this thread, but you can just use yours as-is if you want to.

Mmmm... Ebony over Pau Ferro...​

One of the nicest necks in existence. Everybody should have at least one. Definitely doesn't need a finish - that would be a mortal sin. But, do burnish it as recommended by Mr. Hoop. Or, send it to me and I'll do it along with the frets.
