Well, the body is a fender... and I made a custom finishing touch to the name.. it says Keinocaster in japanese instead of the normal stratocaster
As long as you do not misrepresent a parts-o-caster as genuine Fender or produce such guitars for sale there is no lawsuit, CSI, FBI, CIA, IRS, KGB or Mother Theresa issues with plastering Fender on everything you have. All of mine get Fender decals including one I showed to a Fender Factory Rep. Another guy standing by wanted to know where he could obtain a decal and I told him eBay.
On the other hand Fender now has a compound radius neck offering perhaps they should pay Warmoth a licensing fee? Since for some it's a matter of decal conscience let's say some player short on knowledge buys a Fender compound radius neck they'll most likely assume it's a Fender concept. That scenario in a manner of thinking would seem to leave Warmoth in the cold. The fact is, sooner or later people talk and when the buyer mentions compound radius to a tech, etc. chances are good Warmoth gets a mention and Fender takes the back seat. When someone sees the Fender name on your build, Fender gets mentioned. In other words, if they're not talking about you they're forgetting about you...You're doing them the favor.
