Holy mackerel! That is one gorgeous body! Hard to believe that stuff grows in trees.

I wonder sometimes if the Warmoth folks have a little post-partum depression sending parts like that out?

+1, holy cow! That is just spectacular...

If I built it they would never leave my shop haha.

Do you know what percentage of antiques dealers sit at home, stone-cold broke, surrounded by thousands of dollars worth of... antique... stuff? Like, all of them.  :toothy12: Can't fix their car, but they read their overdue bills at a Louis XVIII desk... :toothy12:

Wowza indeed  :o  :icon_thumright:

No wonder your doing  :blob7:  :blob7:  :blob7:

The back looks fantastic in that finish, the front just WOW

I just gotta go & change my pants  :icon_biggrin:

Hopefully you can get some inspiration for designs for the cavity plate, neck plate and truss rod cover....?  I'm liking the name "Caramella".

What is the name of the correct drill to use to give the sharpest and most accurate hole for the controls? - I forget the name...

You're thinking of Forstner bits.

If all you do is work on guitars, you don't really need a full set like that, but to buy the three you usually need for guitars individually, sometimes it's a wash. Although, once you get above about 1/2", if you don't have a drill press, you probably shouldn't be using them.

The three you generally need are:

1/4" - mini-toggle switches
3/8" - pots, jacks
1/2" - standard toggle switches

Doug is currently working on the design of the neck plate, truss rod cover and cavity plate - as soon as they arrive, I'll be able to start the build! :guitarplayer2:
