My uncle is building my bass/ the tonar8353 j bass

Well it doesn't hurt when your uncle is tonar8353 :headbang:. So this is the "build thread" for the bass- I will try to post photos of parts as I get them and I am sure he will as well.

So far we have the body and neck- they pretty much speak for themselves: alder body, birds eye neck, Gotoh 201 bridge, Schaller tuners, Nordstrand pick ups. The last little detail is the color- I am still undecided but it is narrowed down to desert sand or white. Well thats about it... Greg feel free to add any other stuff you want.  Also a big thanks to all the other threads you guys have in here for ideas and choices on other parts-- it's my first custom bass and man is it addicting!

very nice, block inlays and binding is just soo cool on a J-Bass. I'm having my Warmoth J since half a year and I'm very happy.

for the finish: I think silver burst would look cool with the neck.
