Man, I'm REALLY upset/sad... I was going to order a Weber Thames 15" and when I clicked "buy" it appeared on the order as Chicago 15" and I didn't spot it on

So, today it arrive and when I opened the box it was "Chicago" and I  :icon_scratch: went to the order papers and since the 1st is "Chicago"

And DUH I hate the thin sound of strats and the "crunchy" sound of Fender amps... I wanted this to sound very Orange/Marshall... So, seems like the speaker is completely different than what I want and I can't do much... Will see if I can sell it here!  :sad1:

I sent a email to them telling what happened, more in a way to them tell me what can I expect in difference in tone.

As from the 1st order email it's written Chicago, I can't claim as their fault at all... and the shipping is quite pricey: US$85 IIRC... So, thinking about...

aww man, that's a harsh blow!

Hopefully you won't make too much of a loss!  :hello2:

Excuse to build a 2x15 cab? I think so. :sign13:

+1 !

If it was me, I'd store the speaker away and keep it for a rainy day. Then save like mad to get the correct one delivered.

BTW, I ordered a Weber 12" from them direct and it arrived in Australia in one piece and sounds great in the iso cab. I do like the way Weber offers variants of the one speaker so you can get it more vintage or modern.

Has Weber replied to your email, Nando?

We could all chuck in a few bucks to help out nando who is one of the most positive dudes here....just sayin.

No need Cletus, but I thank you! The speaker isn't really expensive...

They answered, saying that it will sound more like Fender = less highs and mids... The less mids makes me frightened... But they said I should test it... well, has been years since I've powered my amp and got my guitars, but I'll try to do it soon :)
