Depends what you already have.

If you don't really have  an amp, get an amp.

If you are in need of a guitar, do that.

If you gig and the wires are troublesome, get the wireless system.

Personally, I need recording stuff. I don't gig, I have amps, and I have guitars.

I'm certainly no high roller, but $150 doesn't sound like much.  I've dropped that at GC on strings and cables on a trip that wasn't even planned.  If money is so tight that $150 is burning a hole in your pocket, I'd sit on it a while.

definitely. there are times i've spent $100 on strings alone just so that i could go without having to worry about them for a year or so.
