My Bose L1 went down tonight

Folks,

Had the first ever failure of one of my Bose L1 poles tonight at a a gig.  Traced it to a bad remote controller.
Got through the gig with a little ingenuity.  :headbang1:

Nah - ain't got time for that shit.  Done with those guys. 

However, will be talking to your buddy to get a replacement and maybe some other stuff.

I literally almost ordered one of these last night.  I figured I'd try them out for myself first.  Odd that yours went down.  Must be my karma.

They are great - you should try it.  BTW, I've done dozens of shows with this rig with no problems.
Also - got mine used on eBay.  YMMV.

Update - fired up both systems tonight and everything is working.

Now suspecting a bad cable.  The remotes are attached to the units with 7 pin midi cables.  If the cable goes open, the remote stops working - which is what I was seeing.

The cables are the ones that came with the (used) units when I got them.  New cables are coming my way soon.
