Looking good.  I suggested using a Tort pickguard but from your new pix, the MOP looks just as good.
 
I agree with you now that I've got everything together. I might get around to acquiring a tortoise pg.
 
Hey, that looks great.  How would you compare the feel of the 59 to the stock MIM?
 
I absolutely love the 59 roundback feel. In my hands it meshes perfectly with the curvature of my hands, whereas the MIM was a little lacking.  Not close to the tiny Ibanez Wizard profiles, but there's some definite substance to the 59.
