I would like to wiring a mustang with a traditional setup.  I would like the two switches to act as follows:
BRIDGE:BOTH:NECK
BOTH COILS:SINGLE COIL:OUT OF PHASE.

Can this be done?

BRIDGE:BOTH:NECK is a traditional two-pickup switching arrangement, regardless of pickup type.

BOTH COILS:SINGLE COIL:OUT OF PHASE requires explanation. For starters, what kind of pickups would be installed?

I am going to use a 4 wire pickup.    Likely the VEH from GFS.

Hmm. Well, as I said, the first group is a no-brainer.

But, I don't think the second group can be done on a single toggle even for one pickup, let alone two. Phase reversal requires a DPDT for one of the two pickups, doesn't really matter which. Phasing is relative, so you'd never swap phasing on both because it would put you back in phase. A SPST could be used to switch from single to dual coils, you'd need either one per pickup, or a DPDT to nail both with a single switch.

You could get all the functionality you're asking for by using two toggles and two push/pull pots. Toggle for pickup selection, toggle for phase reversal, and p/p for each pickup's single/double coil select.

So I found this with one humbucker.  I guess it cannot be done with two.  This is not phase, but split, series, parallel.

At a glance it seems to be the traditional Mustang wiring, ie the switches determine the phase for each pickup.
But it has two volumes and a tone, instead of the usual single volume, single tone.

Centre off, humbucking or split, not phase, and individual (interactive) volumes and single tone.
