I'm planning to record some proper sound examples from the Creamery pickups on my Mustang and tried some stuff today while prepping for this.
Here's a very short noodle while trying a new lens and some other stuff.

That thing sounds nice. Those pickups are a good choice.  :icon_thumright:

Sounds very good.

A quick question what is the measurement between the bridge and neck pocket on a 7/8 body?

Thanks.

A quick and dirty measurement gave me about 174 mm from the back of the neckpocket (ie where the end of the neck meets the neckpocket) to the string through holes. Between 163 and 167 mm from the back of  the neckpocket to the two saddles that are furthest back and furthest forward in my case (I'm using .009's).

That's a useful pic and measurement for me as I am thinking of starting my own mustang project.  Thanks!

I'm also curious about the Creamery Humbucker with exposed (Alnico?) pole pieces.  Can you please tell me which pickup model you are using?

In your video the tone seems quite warm, but to be honest I'm not really sure if this is using neck or bridge pickups.  I couldn't identify any point in the video where you switch the pickup selector.

The humbucker is the Classic Domino Split coil

I’m not sure about which pickup I’m using in the clip, but I’m guessing it’s the bridge.
No, wait ...
probably the neck ...

or ...

??? :icon_scratch:

I guess I have to record some more sound clips with both pickups :)

Now I think you started on the neck p.u and switched to bridge 0:18 point in the video.

Creamery site claims the domino has a "clear, hum-cancelling, fat single-coil sound".

That description of the Domino sounds about right.

I had another look and, no, I don’t switch pickups during this clip. At around 0:18 I press the kill switch a couple of times, but that’s it.
