Most Comfortable Strap

I use Levys steatbelt straps, but am having problems with numbness & circulation. I'm just wondering what the most comfortable straps are? At this point, price is almost no object if the strap eliminates my pain/numbness problem.

Try one made of leather and/or suede, as wide as possible and preferably padded somehow. Mine is made by Fender but there are many good ones out there.

I have a Levy's strap as well I'm liking it a lot. Leather & Cloth. I used to have a nylon strap (for over 15 years) that came with my first Yamaha electric. That sucker was never comfy.

Nylon straps are generally pretty awful. Splurge and get a nice padded leather strap; it'll be more comfortable. No need to go overboard, but you can do so much better than a ten-dollar nylon job. I've got a couple of Levy's leather straps and I really like 'em.

I like these but don't have extra money to get one.  Cool new old-style with padded leather.

Geeze! Over $100 for a leather strap and it isn't even that wide. 2" is not wide enough for me.

I'd go to Tandy leather ... buy some thick strips and a 3/8" leather punch and make your own.
I've still got one that's 3-1/4" wide that was made in the late 70's and it's gotten better with age.

These guys make some very nice Wide Leather guitar straps.....     http://www.moodyleather.com/xcart/home.php?cat=251   .......check out some of these.

Sure you gotta spend a few bucks, but whats wrong with investing in yourself and being comfortable, especially if you've taken the plunge to create a Warmoth master piece, seems like a no brainer to me.

These are a little more affordable and an excellent strap....      http://www.levysleathers.com/browse;cat,783;Leather   .......not as high quality but worth every penny, and a heck of alot to choose from in every price range.

These are very nice, but your gonna pay to wear em.......    http://www.actioncustomstraps.com/Guitar_Strap_Designs/guitar_strap_designs.html    .....cant knock a strap that makes your guitar look better and feels great.

I've got the Levy's M29 extra-huge padded bass strap.

The strap itself is only 1.5" wide, but the sliding shoulder pad is huge.  It fits well and supports my heaviest basses.  It may be a bit tricky to get everything in the right place, but once it's there it feels so nice.

Usually when I practice at home, I use a more normal-sized Levy's padded leather strap.

I depends if you appreciate the pretty stitchery or not.  Not for everybody

+1 on leather, super comfortable

I have one of these: www.comfortstrapp.com

It is AMAZING.  It has a gel pad under the nylon.  I'll never buy anything else because everything else is uncomfortable by comparison, including my expensive suede leather strap.

All I have to add is that I suggest you avoid anything made by Jaykco.

I lile these:  http://www.leathersmithdesigns.com/personalized-guitar-straps-script.htm

The sheepskin shoulder lining is worth the extra $$

My girlfriend got me a Levy's padded nylon strap.  It feels like neoprene.  The only problem is that I have to fold it just right to get it to fit into the guitar case.

That's the only thing I don't like about my gel strap, it doesn't like to fold up.  I still manage to get it into the case though.

I picked up a 3 1/2" Comfort Strapp today. The Neoprene foam feels a bit wierd, but I think the numbness/circulation problem is solved now.

Also ordered a Levys Neoprene & a Neotech one just to have 3 different ones to A/B.

It's crazy that a moron (that moron being me) would spend so much time & money on a cool guitar & then settle for a cheap $10 strap.  :dontknow:

Yeah, don't cut corners with your strap. I have 3 straps at the moment. One of the is a Levy's leather strap, padded. The other one, my main strap, is a leather Ernie Ball Music Man strap like EVH used back then. No, it's not a cheap vinyl one like the Wolfgang straps, this one is really nice leather. I've been using that strap damn near 15 years or more and it's still got decades of life left in it. My third strap is a custom order that I got from a lady in Australia. On a side note, she made the suitcases that Clark Kent carried in Superman Returns. That strap is leather and cobra skin. Here's a link to her page with my strap on it.

It says that it's 2 3/4 wide but I think it's wider than that.
