Has anyone done a Deluxe 5 with a Moses Graphite neck?
They tell me that not only do they have necks to fit Warmoth bodies, but
that they have a 35" scale versions as well. If this is the case, I have many happy visions going
through my head!!!!!!!

Be sure to double check the heel specs. I've worked with a number of builders that have had problems with varying dimensions on the Moses neck heels. Just a heads up.
They told me about that too... I am aware of that issue...
I'm mostly after opinions from anyone who has built a Warmoth/Moses hybrid, and the results....
you're probably either already a member or have checked there too, but talkbass has a TON of threads on them. seems like they're generally really liked, and i've only heard one bad review. one guy said he got a bad apple that shouldn't have passed QC. it hadn't been properly glued or something, and had warped to a pretty ridiculous degree and the frets were popping out. i think he said he had it replaced without much trouble though.

I've not built a Warmoth/Moses hybrid bass so this may not be directly applicable.
I have built two Warmoth/Moses six string guitars, an SG and Strat. On the fender style heel, the heel dimensions were consistent, slightly oversized with extra finish to allow them to be sized. He said that would be the case and provided instructions. This involved very light sanding followed by buffing to restore the finish. On the Warmoth/Moses Strat this took a couple of hours, though it was the first Moses neck I'd played with and I was being cautious, testing the fit every few strokes and afraid to use the aggressive grit he recommended. On the Warmoth SG, it took less than a half hour as the pocket sides are shorter and I was more comfortable with how the C/F neck sanded out, still started with 600. I would say if you were aggressive, it would take only a few minutes to get a "pop" fit into the heel pocket. Fine steel wool restores the finish very quickly. I compared a third Moses neck I have for another project, to the SG's neck as the two were unattached at that time, and I was curious how close the heels would be, this one was also consistent.
I've only done two of these combos so far and both are great guitars, I won't know on the third until I get some time to do some routing, it's not a Warmoth body but a diminutive creation of my own. But, as time allows, I will repeat the Warmoth SG for a copy to keep. The Warmoth swamp ash body and Moses neck, produced astonishingly articulate yet deep tones. The person I built it for tells me she's set her beloved LP Custom aside and only plays the Warmoth/Moses now. I consider that success of the combination.
Thanks EagleTree....
That's the most helpful post I've seen yet!
I think what I'm gonna try to do is build a bass which is a cross of a J-bass and my beloved Modulus...
Unfortunately, my silly ass ordered the Mod with a single pickup, and I'm starting to want a 5-string J baaaaddddd....
I'm REALLY sold on the benefits of the composite neck though, as well as the 35" scale...
