Hey,
Any chance a Warmoth Mustang/Jaguar neck would work on a Mooncaster body? I'd like to order a body with just a neck pickup and mount the bridge appropriately forward to accommodate the 24" scale length.
Thanks.

If by 'mount the bridge appropriately forward', you mean that you're going to drill/route for the bridge yourself, then why not. If you want Warmoth to do the re-positioning for you, then you'd have to give them a call and ask.

Note that there will be an index hole where the bridge pickup would normally be - this might end up under the bridge, but might still be visible.

Ah - I didn't see the bit from the OP regarding moving the bridge.  Yep that would get it to intonate, but

1 - You'll likely have to route the pickups yourself
2 - As Pete said, there is usually an index hole located near the bridge or even under it.  I'd check that out before you commit to anything.

BTW - I looked at the conversion neck specs and they are actually 24 3/4" - not 24".  If that 3/4" matters to you, then you'll have to go the move-the-bridge route.

Thanks,
I did not know about the index hole. I have a conversion neck on my super strat and I love it -I use billy gibbons 0.007 gauge strings on it!
I drilled the studs on that myself. I think a STP TOM bridge is about as difficult to install as Floyd bridge studs.
This is going to be fun.

Something to keep in mind with pickup cavity routing on a Mooncaster - that's a "carved" top. It'a little tougher to drive a router around on something that isn't flat.
