Mini humbucker routing option on all pickguards?

I have been trying for years to get a Jazzmaster project up and running and finally have the electronics sorted out but that involves mini humbuckers of the Firebird variety.

The body I have is routed for humbuckers (my original intention was to install an EMG system but that could not be achieved with the control layout of the JM style and the need to somehow install extra wiring and use 25K pots instead of the usual JM pots) so underneath it will house the mini hums, so long as the pickguard is properly squared up and centred and houses the mini hums. But there is no mini hum routing option from Warmoth on their JM pickguards, and I have had to buy a couple of blank pickguards and try and rout them in myself. Both times they have been butchered and not too successful. Obviously if I had the experience and gear to rout it in ( plus a decent template would help too!) I wouldn't make the mistakes of these past 2 pickguards .

Now it seems to me a little strange that Warmoth will rout in mini humbucker routs for other pickguards they offer but not the JM. I figure that if you alrerady have the templates and the CNC programming there for that size of cavity rout then you are half way there...... and it would have been less frustrating for this project if I had been told they didn't do mini hum routs on ANY pickguard - period - rather than just the few they don't ( one of which just happens to have been the project I chose!). I already have the mini hum pickups, they already have had the electronics sorted and sound sweet in the project JM I have. All that is holding back this long over due project is the decent, professional looking, pickguard & from there a setup!

I'm not sure which other pickguards Warmoth DO NOT rout for mini hums, but maybe Warmoth could look at this situation and think of expanding their range in the future, please?  :occasion14:

FYI, all pickguards are cut the old fashioned way with a template and router.  No CNC work.

I did some checking and none of the Jazzmaster templates include mini-hums and there's no way to match up routing on other templates to try and do a mix/match of options.  Sorry!

wouldn't it be really easy to cut a new template with ANY template that has a mini hum and just putting it on top of a blank JM template? All you'd have to do is line up the neck pockets, wouldn't you?
not saying it's so, it just seems to me that it would be

This reply to my suggestion is kinda underwhelming Eric and quite frankly I'm locking the Thread and leaving it up as testimony to the type of response one can expect in this Section.... I'm not asking for the world mate, I'm not asking for the company to regurgitate a long forgotten semi acoustic design from scratch, but rather look at expanding an option on one pickguard design - an option that is available on other pickguards...... I hope you can sense my annoyance, as I am *that* close to starting up a bonfire with the project that is the issue at hand.

I suppose as Mods and Admins you could unlock and delete the Thread, but I dare you to leave it up as is... people need to see there's no hope for many of these suggestions they want.
