Middle position of three way switch not working

Was it working previously and stopped?

You're going to need to pull the pickguard; most likely issues are either a switch failure or failure of the positive solder joint from the middle pickup to the switch, or the ground from the pickup.

Theoretically the pickup could fail, but that is unlikely unless you have no cover on the pickup and something could have jacked with the windings on the coil...

If you're talking a Gibson-style 3-way toggle, I once had one where in the middle position it was touching a bare ground wire...

No, I guess I didn't.  My e-mail is kind of a necessary evil.  I don't check it often, and when I do it's usually not looking for forum responses.

Did you have to tweak the diagram any?  Like one of the other members said, I think I did have the jumpers from switch to switch crossed.  So it does all you want and works?  Cool!

I've been thinking about your 3-way switch troubles.  I've got to do some more mental trouble shooting.  Is it a 3-way toggle or 3-way blade switch?

I emailed you and told you the wiring and the coil splitting was working perfectly?
Did you not get it?

That was probably me Nicholasdaniel, I drew up a new diagram for you.  Still no luck with the three way switch?  If you can, just take a picture of the wiring connections on it to give us a better idea as to why it's messed up.  Just from the description of the problem, it could be a bad switch, or the rails of the switch are crossed.  He is talking about a "Tele-style" 3way switch, with only a bridge and a neck.

Check this out: This is different than the other standard wiring I found for you from stewmac, which may be exactly why the center positon gets you no sound.  I would hope every switch is the same internally, but probably not in your case.  Give this a shot.  You have two volume controls and one tone control, so the tone would be hooked up as it is shown, but the volume control would be hooked up directly to the bridge and neck pickup in your case.

I fixed itnall and it's working I had to tweak the three way diagram you gave it's similar to
The one you just posted I would just like to thank you for your help on the wiring it was a great learning expiermece
For me I can't wait to wire up another guitar now.... Now
Just need to learn how to cut a custom nut -_-

No problem, after I found the Seymour Duncan Diagram it made sense why yours was effing up, and I figured you might want to try it.  That is not my prefered three way switch, but I'm glad it worked out for you. :occasion14:  Now I will know for future reference that this is the normal one and the other one I gave you was backarsewords according to the switch stewmac had. :tard:  I know I can always count on Duncan to be correct with their diagrams.
