Given the sound of an acoustic guitar is mostly the top vibrating sympathetically with the strings, I'd say there's no place to mic a solid-body electric that will get you there. You can jury-rig it the way countless manufacturers have done it by getting piezoelectric saddles and amplifying that signal with appropriate signal processing. I suppose you might also get some action out of a contact mic like some fiddlers use, but I have no idea how viable that is for a solid bodied electric.
