Meadowhawk in the House !!!!

Neck arrived yesterday. Beautiful Ebony fretboard with Mahogany shaft. I thought I would do something different with this and paint or dye the neck to match the back and cover in Nitro. Don’t normally like finished necks, but have polished a few painted ones to feel very good. Experimenting with some scrap mahogany and grain filler.

Also have some Quilted Maple Veneer I’m going to attempt to apply to the headstock to match the body.

Hagwood did you happen to eat a lot of paint chips as a child?

Thanks, I’m excited for this build but still haven’t even decided on a color. I have decided on Seymour Duncan P-Rails with the Triple Shot though.
I had P-Rails (now in parts bin) I wasn't a huge fan. The humbucker was meh, the single coil blade was bright and ok, the p-90 was actually quite good but kind of an idealized P-90 sound. Maybe try before you buy.

Nice, I had p-rails in my first Warmoth build. The p90 coil and both coils in parallel were great!

I love my MojoTone P90’s in the Purple Haze, but I was originally going to put PAF buckers in it until I researched the P-90’s. I guess I’ll have to see if I can find some to test….
