Here we go again. I don't know why Trevor can't just have a white guitar.  :icon_scratch: :laughing7: :laughing7:
This is a non Warmoth body routed for a bender and a Warmoth Boatneck that I will have the pleasure of finishing.  I will be doing the body and the headstock in the same blue/green custom paint on this Ducati.  I might only do the blue but I may burst it green on the edge like the second picture of the bikes fender.  We initially discussed doing the burst and I got cold feet since I have never used this product and talked Trevor into using the blue only which he was good with.  But the more I look at the picture of that fender the more I'm thinking "GO FOR IT".
What do you all think?

BTW, Greg, that neck looks like it has plenty of V - I think it will be just smashing!  :headbang:

Not sure as a burst... perhaps as blue top and green back... Well, I'm not into these non-traditional burst, etc... so I'm biased

is that prizmatic paint? i say go for it! no guts no glory! may the guitar gods be with you!

for a long time there, I thought Tonar was painting a Motorcycle for Mayfly,

I say paint it how you want, Mayfly will just keep ordering more till he gets what he wants,  ( which we all know won't ever happen)

Not feeling the colors either. Looks good on the bike but I don't know how well it will translate to the tele. Kind of Jackson-y

If anybody can pull it off, I am sure you can...
If that is what Mayfly wants, I say go for it :icon_thumright:
Just keep us posted with lots of pics and  :rock-on:

Is it going to have a marbelized base coat like the bike. If so this is a fun finish to do. I did a car like this. That was a pain because you have to work in small sections. It comes out pretty cool lookin.

Interesting paint job, but pretty ghey for a Ducati... :dontknow:

it needs to be red and white!!

i like the idea, but i'm not a big fan of the green / blue combo. i'd personally love a yellow / orange in the same kind of iridescent paint

ghey for ducati, theres no other way for ducati to be. I mean, so little bike for so much money? I'm just sayin.

I think it looks cool, I want to do a blue/green chameleon shift paint on my next one. Is this how they do those radiant finishes?

Trevor comes across as a renaissance man intellectual type, but these finish choices have me thinking he's got a wild side.  The only thing remotely conservative about these choices is the guitar.

Trevor, you are my hero for your love of a good Tele.  Not content with 3 or 4, here comes another.  Like a true addict, one is too many, a thousand is not enough.
