Why is it called Beatrice? well, the guitar is blue, right? blue blood, royal, royalty; our (dutch) queen! Beatrix is her name. so... beatrice was the name of orpheo's wife, and beatrix=beatrice, so... well, it really kinda fits, right?  The zebra's are air norton, and I already decided to use them, but I just wanted to show off this top and looks  :party07:

Beatrice was also the name of Dante's love. Truly this guitar is beautiful enough to guide you through the heavens.  :hello2:

Looks like a Mahogany body. What's the neck wood?

the neck...well...

its zebrano/bloodwood/zebrano/bloodwood/zebrano  :evil4:  :guitaristgif:

with zebrano trapezoid inlay

and man, that feels SLICK! I like it, I think, more than canary (but the canary neck I have needs a bit of 'working' I suppose). its a 6100 wire for the frets, with air nortons put in. I just got it wired up and now its ready to play, just uploading the pics. the tone is great. just like an old les paul should sound like. open, airy, twangy, and just pure rock 'n roll (eventhough heavy metal goes great too!).

Sweet, I've always loved the look!
good to know she's treating you right :cool01:

If you can...post a clip of the sound :sign13:

Looks fantastic with those zebras, really sets off the top. Yum!
Tell us more about the neck, and more pics of it!

its a standard thin 25.5'' neck, zebrano, with bloodwood stringers, curly ebony fingerboard, zebrano inlay, warmoth style headstock. she plays like BUTTAH!!!! zebrano feels and sounds a bit like wenge by the way, really cool.

here are some more pics:

You need a Dangerous neck plate!

sorry, I don't see the point in paying 50$ for a plate when a black one is just 5 or 6 bucks ;) besides, if one gets a plate, they'd all need one...

You obviously didn't mind paying out the nose for the skilled work it took to make that  neck and body, and yet you squibble at the price I charge for mine.... :icon_scratch:
