Well, as to headstocks, I'm kind of agnostic.  I like the more pronounced asymmetry of the Warmoth part, but the Vortex part appeals to my desire for the opposite.  Although my instinct is to take the Vortex part and trim it so it ends up symmetrical at the top, as well, like I've done in this lovely MS Paint job here.  But I am absolutely hands-down in favor of the maple with black trapezoids for the fingerboard.

For me it's Vortex all the way. I need to see the symmetry, or I go crazy.

I ended up ordering the Vortex in Afra/Black Ebony/Perloid Traps.  We shall see if the window of regret opens while I'm away from my computer later today.
